Fraser Koroluk

 
Fraser Koroluk is founder and owner of Kynoch Adventures and along with being lead river guide  is also a Professional Biologist active in Pacific Salmon and Grizzly Bear conservation, habitat protection, and habitat inventory and compensation work throughout BC's central coast areas of the Great Bear Rain Forest. Fraser grew up in Bella Coola and as the primary Grizzly Bear viewing guide ensures all Kynoch guides meet Commercial Bear Viewing standards, and was a previous member of the Board of Directors of the Bear Viewing Guide Association of BC (CBVA). Fraser was also the WildSafeBC community coordinator for several years in Bella Coola (formerly Bear Aware), working to reduce human-wildlife conflict through increased local knowledge of wildlife needs, attractant management, and offering support to regional conservation and environmental agencies.
Fraser is also an avid ultramarathon runner providing support and logistics for Ultra Running and Run Camp Adventures offered by Rogue Adventures in Bella Coola Valley.

Jim Knudsen

Jim is a life long resident of Bella Coola Valley and has been guiding angling, eco-rafting and bear viewing tours for well over 20 years. With Kynoch, Jim is a river guide, familiar with every stretch of water in the Bella Coola Valley.  His local knowledge, sense of humor, keen sense of the outdoors and easy going approach make him an asset on any guided river tour offered by Kynoch Adventures. Jim and his wife Amber are also the owners of Rip Rap Campsite, a popular nearby campsite highly recommended for those looking for the perfect comfortable luxury/rustic camp experience!.

Haydin lives in upper Bella Coola valley and has a background in silviculture, forestry and forest ecology/management and is an avid canoe expedition leader. He does guided Eco Rafting tours on the Bella Coola River, Bear watching on the Atnarko, and manages logistics on land-based and running tours for Kynoch Adventures. Haydins' passion for the rivers, trails and forests of the Central Coast is contagious and he is sure to keep guests entertained and informed on any tour he guides. Haydin is one of few local residents to have hiked the length of the Historic Mackenzie Heritage Trail extending from Quesnel BC to Bella Coola Valley.
 
 

Justin Gray (Mountain Man

Justin has been a resident of Bella Coola for a number of years, where he is homesteading in a remote valley creating an off-grid retreat for himself. Justin's background in teaching and education, which, coupled with his experience in white water kayaking and youth leadership lends itself well to guiding and interpretive tours offered by Kynoch Adventures.  Justin guides Eco Rafting and Bear Watching Tours as well as assists with logistics, transportation and equipment, and is a founder of End of The Road Coffee Roasters, providing fresh coffee for Bella Coola Valley residents. His recent photo-shoot for Mountain Man Weekly went viral prior to its removal from most Social Media Platforms.

Les Koroluk

Kynoch Adventure bear tour guide for bear watching and grizzly bear viewing holidays in Bella Coola bC

 
Les is Fraser's father and can still on occasion be found guiding for Kynoch Adventures. With more than 40 years on the rivers of Bella Coola and surrounding areas Les is a wealth of knowledge and stories. Les spreads his time between recreational fishing trips and periodic guiding on Bear Viewing Tours on the Atnarko River.

Les was instrumental in the development of Bear Viewing in the mid 1990s in Bella Coola and other regions of the Great Bear Rain Forest, having been a long time angling guide and one of the first Bear Viewing guides in the region, and the province of BC!
